Five kilometers wide, the Eqi Glacier is one of the most active glaciers in Greenland and is a sight to behold. Every now and then, as you sit in a boat, you can witness a huge chunk of ice break off the glacier and fall into the sea (a process for some reason called "calving"), which is also accompanied by an unforgettable loud noise.
