Eastern Greenland – Aug. 25, 2022

East Greenland from the plane view.

The terrain of Greenland is for the most part an icecap that covers all land. The only exception to this rule is the barren, rocky coast which gives refuge to small pockets of civilization. This photo shows nunataks, or the “black rocks” in the Eskimo language, taking their name from the contrast they cast against the snowy landscape.
