What do Lara Croft games, Indiana Jones movies and Discovery Channel documentaries have in common? In my case, it was these things that instilled in me a great imagination and love for adventure as a kid. Jungles, deserts, freezing ice, scorching heat, volcanoes, dangerous animals, some funky ancient temples, UFO sighting areas… I've never fully grown out of it, and now, as an "adult", I'm fortunate enough to be able to pursue my dreams. As such, I have set myself a goal of visiting at least two such fascinating places a year and I can't imagine things any other way anymore. So far, this plan took me to Germany, Sicily, Greece, Japan, Cuba, Greenland, Jordan, Spitsbergen, Botswana and most recently, Morocco. I can't wait to expand this list way further!
But in order to experience something amazing, you don't necessarily have to go to the end of the world. In summer I also chase storms in our home country – not scared away by our road infrastructure, which adds even more excitement to every journey.
Well, while I'd love to walk with my head in the clouds all day, at the end of the day you have to earn a living somehow. I'm lucky, as I'd always known what I wanted to do professionally. For as long as I can remember, I was fascinated by computers. "Hmm, what's gonna happen if I wipe C:\windows" - a perfect question from a seven-year-old in the era when there was no Internet (Sorry, Mom and Dad.) After finding answers to hundreds of such fascinating questions, each with more or fewer consequences, I eventually took up coding, polished my skill of it, made it into a career and that's where we are today, me typing the words you're reading right now, hehe.
Life wouldn't be the same without my wonderful and infinitely patient girlfriend, Ewelina, and two of her children, Ania and Ryś. Raising children – now that is an adventure! Thanks for sticking with me, guys ❤️
