Apart from the composition that I am happy with (clouds on the right, lightning on the left), there's one more nice thing that this picture reveals, even if in a roundabout way. In general, the sort of artificial lighting cities are illuminated with at night usually means that the sky appears orange. However, this one lighting was enough to completely dispel that sickly hue and fill the scene with this eerie violet.
